Alex Friedman For Malta Town Board Commonsense Decisions That Benefit the Whole Town

Alex Friedman has been a resident of the Town of Malta since the graduating from Clarkson University, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2017.

“I really like Malta and hope to make it my forever home.  Recently I got involved with the Malta Spotlighter Theatre Troupe and continue to participate in their productions. Through the wonderful people that I had the pleasure to meet while involved with the Theatre, I realized that there were many ways that I could give back and get involved in Malta. That is why I am seeking to run for the Malta Town Board.

Alex currently works for the New York State Department of Transportation.  As a civil engineer Alex works to update and create specifications, methods, and research new technologies and practices for DOT.  In his job at DOT, Alex works with multiple regional staff, contractors, and suppliers from all corners of the State.  Alex also provides technical advice and assistance to the local highway departments across New York.

“I’m a graduate engineer with a good job and salary but it is difficult for me to buy a home in Malta.  If we hope to attract young professionals to live and work in Malta, we need to look at housing, amenities like shops and restaurants, as well as recreation opportunities.  I think a younger perspective would be good on the Town Board.  I want to promote sensible residential, commercial, and industrial development that will seek to benefit the most residents as possible. I want to advocate for you, and make commonsense decisions that look to benefit as many residents as possible. This includes getting your opinions on important matters”.

Alex pledges to address all issues that face the Town with a level head, and an engineer’s mind.  He is committed to serving the Town of Malta to the best of his ability, and always keep the needs of its residents in the forefront of his decisions.
